HealthLocator: A Public,
Digital Tool for Navigating Quality Care Choices

DESCRIPTION:  HealthLocator aims to become the definitive, patient-centered resource for hospital performance — advancing transparency, trust, and clinical quality across the U.S. health care system. In essence, HealthLocator is a public service initiative rooted in peer-reviewed methods and designed to help patients find high-quality care while promoting accountability and improvement in health care delivery.

FREE event for members of AzAHQ, FAHQ, MAHQ, NEAHQ, OAHQ, NCAHQ, and OrAHQ by selecting your association's ticket type.
      
Non-members: $35.    Registration ends midnight 6/23

SPEAKER: Benjamin D. Pollock, PHD, MSPH | Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Scientific Director for the Science of Quality Measurement  |  Mayo Clinic.
An Associate Professor of Health Services Research and the Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Scientific Director of Mayo Clinic’s Science of Quality Measurement program, Dr Pollock has led the Science of Quality Measurement team in the development of the HealthLocator tool to help patients across the US find top-quality hospital care near them.

  2. Summarize the institutional context and development of HealthLocator
  3. Describe the core methodology behind HealthLocator scores
  4. Interpret key methodological innovations
  5. Discuss future directions and implications for stakeholders

CE: WIll be submitted to NAHQ for approval of 1.0 credit hour of CPHQ CE credit.

 

VIRTUAL ATTENDEE PARTICIPATION VERIFICATION: AzAHQ is required to submit a list of the verified attendants to NAHQ (or other CE approval authority) within 30 days of the event. Attendance is monitored throughout the Zoom event using the 'Participant' list.  Each attendee must be signed into the virtual event with the same full name used for registration (not a family member's name or anick name or just a phone number).
