Breaking Healthcare Silos: Incorporating Quality
and Safety into Compliance Programs

DESCRIPTION: This session describes the evolution of the Safe Choices program, an educational initiative that helps team members understand how behavioral choices, organizational systems, and workplace conditions influence patient safety outcomes. Participants will explore Just Culture principles through case examples that distinguish human error, at-risk behavior, and reckless behavior while recognizing the impact of system factors. 

SPEAKERS: Kara Lyven, MBA, CPPS | Executive Director of Patient Safety at Duke University Hospital.   

COST: Free for AzAHQ, FAHQ, MAHQ, NCAHQ, NEAHQ, OAHQ, OrAHQ, TGCAHQ, and UAHQ members. No coupon needed - select your organization from the ticket types.  

            $15 for Non-Members

CEU:  NAHQ approved for 1.0 CPHQ CE hour and 1.0 hour of ACHE Qualifying Education credit.
